Esimerkit

  • She delivered a striking performance that ran the gamut of emotions, from A to B.
  • The entire gamut of the view's changes should have been known to her; its winter aspect, spring, summer and autumn; how storms came up from the sea; how the moors shuddered and brightened as the clouds went over; she should have noted the red spot where the villas were building; and the criss-cross of lines where the allotments were cut...

Monikkogamuts

A (normally) complete range.

Reflectance spectrum of a color-optimal surface. There is no known material with these properties, they are, for what we know, only theoretical.

All the colours that can be presented by a device such as a monitor or printer.

Typical cathode-ray tube (CRT) gamut The grayed-out horseshoe shape is the entire range of possible chromaticities, displayed in the CIE 1931 chromaticity diagram format (see below). The colored triangle is the gamut available to the sRGB color space typically used in computer monitors; it does not cover the entire space. The corners of the triangle are the primary colors for this gamut; in the case of a CRT, they depend on the colors of the phosphors of the monitor. At each point, the brightest possible RGB color of that chromaticity is shown, resulting in the bright Mach band stripes corresponding to the edges of the RGB color cube.
